Dr Tebogo Machailo is an insightful and acquainted Specialist Physician/Nephrologist who strives to preserve kidney functioning through the comprehensive treatment of kidney diseases and kidney related conditions. Dr Machailo offers treatment of diabetes, hypertension, HIV & AIDS, autoimmune diseases such as Lupus and Glomerular diseases, kidney related illnesses and acute kidney failure.

After attending Wedela Technical High School in Carletonville, Dr Tebogo Machailo began his undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering in 1992 at Wits University. After one year into his studies he changed path and ended up graduating with a MBBCh from Wits university in 1998. Following his graduation, he began his internship at Natalspruit Hospital followed by a year of community service at the formerly known Ellisras Hospital, now Lephalale Hospital, in 2000.

It was in 2001 that Dr Machailo began as a General Practitioner in private practice in Munsieville Township, Krugersdorp. He remained in this area for 10 years before moving to Pretoria where he became involved with SASSA and the Social Development Department in the area. He then decided to specialize through Wits University and joined up their teaching circuit in 2011 after which he was appointed as a medical officer. It was after this that Dr Machailo pursued physician training in 2012 and his subspecialty in Nephrology at Wits University in 2018.

With his expert training in the field of kidney physiology and disease, Dr Machailo emphasises that management and treatment for acute and chronic diseases of the kidney can be highly successful when sought before kidney failure has occurred. He therefore invites individuals of all ages and types of kidney diseases to his practice at Life Peglerae Hospital in Rustenberg. From treatment of kidney disease, autoimmune diseases, hypertension and diabetes, pregnancy related kidney diseases, management of failure or arranging of kidney transplants, Dr Tebogo Machailo offers comprehensive care for all nephrology related conditions.
